A note about the colors: This was originally designed with 4 colors. However after round 3 every 2 rounds change color. If you want to only use 1 color for the fptr rounds they are the even numbered rounds after round 3. The 'background' color rounds are the odd numbered rounds after round 3 – it would be the same color you used in rounds 1-3 as well.
To start: With CA ch5, join with a sl st to make a ring.

ROUND 1: ch3 counts as a dc, 2dc in ring, * ch2, 3dc * 3 times, then ch2. join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. 12dc, 4 ch2 sps
