Round 1: With CA ch2, 5sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with a sl st to 1s sc. 5sc

Round 2: ch3 counts as a dc, 2dc in same st as joining, 3 dc in next 4 sts. Join with a sl st in top of beg ch3. 15dc

Round 3: ch2 counts as a hdc, * dc, tr, dc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts * 5 times omitting last hdc. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch2. 10hdc, 10dc, 5tr

Round 4: * 3dc in next st after joining, 3tr in next st, 3dc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts * 5 times omitting last sl st. Join with a sl st to next st that you didn't work in the beg of round. Finish Off. 30dc, 15, tr, 10 sl st

Round 6 Round 5: With CB join with a standing bpsc around dc after the sl st of round 4, bpsc next 8, * sk 2 sts is the sl sts from round 4, bpsc in next 9 sts * 4 times, sk 2 sts is the sl sts from round 4. Join with a sl st in 1st bpsc. 45bpsc

Round 6: The dc2tog will be worked in the last bpsc of a point that will already have a dc worked in & the 1st bpsc of the next point which you will work a dc in after you complete the dc2tog. ch3 counts as a dc, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, dc2tog over the st you just worked and the next st, * dc in 2nd st of the dc2tog you just made, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next, dc in next 2 sts, dc2tog over the st you just worked and the next st *4 times. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. 15sc, 10hdc, 20dc, 5dc2tog

Round 7: ch1, sc in same st as joining, sc in next 49 sts. Join with a sl st in 1st sc. Finish Off. 50Sc

Round 8: With CA join with a sl st in any st, * 2sc in same st, sc in next 24 sts * 2 times. Join with a sl st in 1st sc. Finish Off. 52sc

Positioning Your Star

At this point your star is just in a circle. Choose the point of your star that you would like to be the top point. Find the stitch from round 8 that aligns to the top point and count 6 to the right and put in a stitch marker. From that stitch marker count 13 stitches and place another stitch marker in the 13th stitch. Do this 2 more times. You should have 12 stitches BETWEEN each stitch marker.

Round 9: With CB join with a sl st in any marked st, ch4 counts as a tr, tr, ch2, 2tr in same st a joining, * (tr in next st, dc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next 2 sts, tr in next st), 2tr, ch2, 2tr in next st should be marked st, 3 times then ( ) once more. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch4. 24tr, 16dc, 16hdc, 4sc, 4 ch2 sps

Round 10: ch2 counts as a hdc, hdc in next st, * 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch sp, hdc in next 16 sts * times omitting last 2 sts. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch2. Finish Off 16 dc, 64hdc, 4 ch2 sps
