- 1 ounce of worsted weight cotton yarn in 1 color
- Crochet hook size H (5mm)
- Tapestry needle
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain(s)
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- fpsc – front post single crochet – Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of corresponding stitch below, yarn over and pull through all loops.
- fpdc – front post double crochet – fpdc – Yarn over, insert hook from front to back to front around post of corresponding stitch below, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops, yarn over & pull through last 2 loops.

Round 1: ch6. sl st to first ch to form ring, ch3 (counts as dc in this round only), 15dc in ring. Join with a sl st to top of ch3. (16dc)
Round 2: ch3, fpdc around beg ch3 of r1, 2fpdc around each st around. Join with a sl st to top of ch3. (29fpdc & 1dc)
Round 3: ch3. fpdc around beg ch3 of r2, fpdc on next st. 2fpdc on next st, 1fpdc on next st repeat around. Join with a sl st to top of ch3. (47fpdc & 1dc)
