Skill Level: Easy
Guage: 6st & 8 rounds is 1 inch.
Materials:

  • 1-2 ounces of worsted weight yarn
  • US2 Needles
  • Tapestry Needle

Stitches Used:

  • k – knit
  • wyif – with yarn in front
  • sl st -slip stitch

START WITH:
With CA cast on 40 sts. If using magic loop place 20 sts on each needle. If using DPNs place 20 sts on 1st needle and 10 sts on needle 2 & 3. Move needles to work in the round making sure not to twist sts.

Round 1-3: knit

Round 4-6: k using the color graph below. Cut CA off – you wont be using it until the end.

Round 6-40: k in CB until ½ inch before the top of your phone. This can be less or more then 40 total rounds. Just make sure you stop ½ inch before the top of your phone.

Round 41-43: k using the color graph below. Cut CB off – you are done with this color now.

Round 44-46: k in CA.

Round 47: cast off 20 sts, k20 sts. This is the 1st row of the flap.

Round 48-63: k 19 sts, wyif sl st, turn

Round 64: k8 sts, cast off 4 sts, k 7 sts, wyif sl st, turn

Round 65: k8 sts, cast on 4 sts, k 7 sts, wyif sl st, turn

Round 66-69: k 19 sts, wyif sl st, turn

Cast off.

CLOSING THE BOTTOM

Whip stitch the bottom together.

ADDING THE BUTTON

Place your phone in the pouch. Fold flap over and mark where the button hole is. Remove the phone. Place button so it centers with the marks for the button hole you just made and sew it on. You should now be able to fold the flap over and it stay closed.
