Materials:

  • 1-2 ounces each of worsted weight yarn in at least 2 colors.
  • Crochet hook size H (5mm)
  • Tapestry needle

Stitches Used:

  • sl st – slip stitch
  • ch – chain(s)
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet

TO START: With C1 ch6, join with a sl st to make a loop

ROUND 1: ch3 (counts as a dc now and throughout pattern), 15dc in loop. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. 16dc

ROUND 2: ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2dc in each st around. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. 32dc

ROUND 3: ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next st, * 2dc in next, dc in next st * around. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. Fasten Off C1 48dc

ROUND 4: With C2 join with a sl st in any st, ch3, dc, ch2, 2dc in same st you joined c2 in. * (dc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, dc in next st) 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next st * 3 times then ( ) once more. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3 24dc, 16hdc, 20sc, 4 ch2 sps

ROUND 5: ch3, dc in next st, * (2dc, ch2, 2dc in ch sp) dc in next 15 sts * 3 times, ( ) once, dc in next 13 sts. Join with a sl st to top of beg ch3. Fasten Off. 68 dc, 4 ch2 sps

ROUND 6: Join C1 in any ch2 sp with a sc 2 sc in same sp, * (sc in next 19 sts), 3sc in next ch2 sp * 3 times then ( ) once. Join with a sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off. 88sc
